Or has been threw it thanks so much
I had Health Partners, but not MN Care. Yet your requirements are very similar to what I did two years ago. It took about 6-7 months, but I am thankful for it in retrospect. Much of your challenge will be mental, in the area of changing your relationship with food and your reactions to life's hurdles.
When I did my psychological assessment, I had heard that 3 sessions was typical. I had 6 or seven and I was almost not approved, because I was under a lot of stress at the time, and were not sure I would be a good long term candidate.
And by long term, I mean one that loses the weight and changes their behavior TO ensure they keep it off. Keeping it off is the challenge, the operation is only a tool to help you get there. Ask and 2 or 3 year out individuals and they will tell you about the honeymoon period and then the rest of your life.
I wish you well. Start thinking success right away and start applying RNY procedures prior to surgery. I lost 50 pounds before surgery and I am glad I did. It helped my doctor help me.
I wish you the best. Find a support group, go to meetings and determine to follow your doctors recommendations to the letter.
