PLEASE SHAKE ME !!!
Chill out there Julie. You know you are in it for the long haul. Sure you don't want this "UP" number, but start thinking like the naturally thin do. You splurged over the weekend and now you are back on track. You said you were exercising, so do what you know is successful eating for you and carry on.
Oh, and same for me.
Oh, and same for me.
We all have those moments - sometimes WEEKS - when we fall off the wagon. Anyone who claims otherwise is more than likely not being honest with themselves.
In the past, when we'd mess up, we'd probably get disgusted, say "F" it and grab a tub of ice cream or a bag of chips - drown our sorrows for not being better people. That's one of the ways many of us would find more pounds than we'd recently lost, and see the number on our scales (IF we weighed ourselves) creep higher, and higher.
Our WLS didn't change the fact that WE ARE HUMAN, it just gave us a tool to help us fight our battle against fat. So, I would suggest that you, and the rest of us, practice a little forgiveness. Pat yourself on the back for remaining mindful of where you're at and what you're doing, and make that decision to practice the good habits we all learned when we were fresh out of WLS.
Easier said than done, but I believe forgiveness and renewed determination are essential to our success. 'cuz this is a forever deal. You can fall off the wagon, and you can get right back on. The BIGGER failure is falling off the wagon and not trying to get back on.
