Yikes, plastic surgery on Monday
I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous LOL! I am 16 months out with a total of 154 lbs off of my 5'1" frame. I am having a tummy tuck, breast lift and have to augment since I have nothing left! I am busy nesting and stashing protein powder, protein bars, making soup and chili etc. House is clean and laundry done etc. Now I just have to heal quickly so I can be up and taking care of my two boys 3 & 7. Luckily I have the best hubby and he is a HUGE help and support, so all will be well.
I hadn't planned on doing any plastics, not really my style, but have had such bad rashes etc, I have to do it for the sanity. But I'm sure there is some vanity in there as well! LOL! I feel like I'm on the home stretch so to speak. Like this is my blue ribbon at the end of the race.
I am so greatful for this tool and the 2nd chance it has given me. I try to remember to treat it will respect........ some days better than others but 98% of the time I do it right. It will be hard not to exercise while recovering. I've been so fatihful with it and have even added in weights these last few months and have some nice definition I just hate to lose it ! OH! There is the vanity peeking out!
Anyway, if you see fit to keep me in your prayers for a safe surgery and a speedy, uneventful recovery I sure would be grateful. Thanks!

Hi Tess! Good luck on Monday!! You will do just fine and you will be amazed at the results! Remember what I said about staying ahead of the pain and about pooping! Miralax...or whatever does the trick. You might have to up any usual dosages because pain meds will plug you up.
There is nothing "vain" about plastic surgery after WLS. I hope everyone knows that. Our bodies have been through a war zone with stretched skin to cover those extra pounds. You have to get rid of it if you can and want to...not everyone can, or even cares to. For those of us who can and did...we did it to repair our skin to "normal"!
Let us know how it goes!
