2nd round of appointments completed

I completed Round 2 of appointments today...I met with the dietician, nutritionist and the psychologist ( for a followup from the last appointment) and everything went great...Now, they have a team meeting to make sure I am a good candidate for the surgery....I am one step closer to surgery and I am so excited...My husband is so supportive of me having this surgery...I will be glad when I can give my kids a hug and they can actually wrap their arms around a smaller version of me...

How long did everyone have to wait to get a once the surgical team decided that you were a good candidate and were approved for surgery???

I received a call for my approval on Dec 16th and had my surgery on Jan 14th.  So a month for me.  The reason why it was a month though was I was required to go on a one month diet before surgery.  They obviously didn't  put me on the diet until I found out about my approval.  Every program is different.  How exciting for you!  I hope everything falls into place for you.  Good luck!

Wow, that's great....where did you have your surgery? I will be having mine at St. Mary's in Duluth (I guess it is called Essentia Health now)...I have no reservations with having this surgery and am excited to go forward with it...They said that it may be around August or sooner so I hope to have it done before summer is over....I have my fingers crossed (and my toes).....They said that the sleeve is covered with my insurance so that won't be a problem..So looking forward to a new me....

I had mine in Crosby.  My PCP is in Brainerd with St. Joe's (also Essentia Health)  

I am excited for you.  I remember those feelings of excitement.  It will go quick.  My whole process took 10 months so I know how it feels to wait.  Keep me posted.  :)

Once I finished several months of jumping thru insurance company hoops the approval came fast. Surgery followed by a couple of weeks. And now it's all in the past. Wow. Can't believe it. 

 Every clinic is different, but some clinics are remarkably fast. We've waited for years to start living... so I guess they figure we can't wait much longer! :)
