This is AWFUL

I love my coffee too...I skipped it for a while right after surgery and when I started drinking it I drink half caf...unless I'm out then I treat myself to the real stuff.  But, today, for the 2nd time in just less than a yr, I have been diagnosed with an ulcer and have been told NO coffee, not even the half caf, for at least 2 weeks.

Wish I had never learned to like coffee or have started up on it after surgery....Maybe you should count your blessings....maybe it's your bodies way of saying, 'no thanks, I'd like to stay healthy'

*gasp* Not coffee!!! lol! You'll get your taste back for it. My taste was messed up for a month or so after surgery but all is well now :) Congrats on your sleeve!

I am 4 weeks out tomorrow, and I too cannot tolerate coffee. How can a Swede not drink coffee?! But I know that it is temporary. As a fellow Peetnick, I feel your pain! I have 2 bags of Major Dickason's blend waiting for me to heal. I am so glad that you are doing well otherwise.

Wert-it will be okay, really; whether you get back your "taste" for coffee or not.  When I had my first child 15  years ago I, too, lost my taste for coffee.  It just suddenly didn't appeal to me.  To make matters worse, I am a nurse.  Coffee to a nurse is like crack cocaine and I would arrive to work early to sit and leisurely have a few cups with my coworkers.   Now it is no big deal at all.  I still appreciate the smell and think that this next cup is going to be the one that makes me love it again, but no....Then I just fill up my water bottle and off I go.  Best wishes!
