Dr Kovanda - plastic surgery

Anyone know anything about this Dr?  I've had a consult with him.  He is out of Edina.

Appreciate any information.

I don't know if they will come forward or not, but there have been a few members under his knife and from what I know of their experiences, I would tell you to RUN the opposite direction.

Go get another consult and spare yourself the misery.

 I'm not asking for names, but do you know of these people personally?  I did read one bad review but other good ones.  My WLS PA highly recommended him.  BUT I would like to know more if you are willing to share.  I don't want to make a HUGE mistake.  I'd really appreciate your input.

He was my plastic surgeon and since I Amy so much I will forgive her for saying run  

What I will say is this....His nurse at the time, Kris, I LOVED her and I thought he was very nice but when I was about 6 months post op he went into private practice and I really didn't care for his new staff.  I am happy with his work and he took great care of me (and he got my procedures covered by my insurance) but don't think his was served well by his new staff. 

My post-op course wasn't typical...I was in the  hospital for 3 days/2 nights which is long and  I did have a number of complications post-op, which I don't believe were his fault ....  He was very responsive to my calls at all times of the day and night and I think he really listened to me ..not all docs are willing to listen, especially when things aren't going to plan.

I wouldn't say run, but I would certainly go to a number of consultations with as many surgeons as you can including him.

For every bad story you will hear about a doc, you will hear a good one and...just like all the praise you will hear about other plastic surgeons from people on the boards - there are bad stories too.

I went to a consult with him and 2 others. I kept asking to see pics of his work and then I saw in person what his work looked like and decided against him. I went to Mpls Plastic Surgeons-Dr Gervais and he was awesome!! Good Luck!
