Month 1: I lost 24#
Month 2: I've lost  10#

Am I on-track? I shouldn't fret so about weekly wgt loss. I have been very diligent about keeping my intake at ~800 cal, but some days I have a little more.

just need an encouraging word.
Thanks,
Leda

Here's and encouraging word - PERSERVERANCE!

Just keep doing what you're doing, and your tool will work for you.  Your weight loss will not maintain at a steady pace, it will come in streaks.  So will loss of inches.  You'll hear this a lot - if you're not losing pounds, you're losing inches.  You lose a bunch of weight, then your body decides to hang on for a while - that's when your bits & pieces snug up.  Your clothes get looser.

Honestly, in my first year post-op, I ONLY weighed myself when I was at my clinic.  Didn't even own a scale.  It's really liberating, to NOT focus on your weight, but on your new eating habits and your relationship with food.  If you can nail that, you have nothing to worry about!

Every ones journey is different. Please don't be sad because your body don't follow a certain schedule.  I also went to Southdale weight loss center, and I can honestly said that if you follow the guidelines set by the dietitian, you will be fine. At 800 cal you cant help but loose weight. You are still very early out, so do not panic. If you have any concern, call Southdale, they will help you out. That is what they get paid for.

Leda,

I am like you -I started out going strong then petered out...But, I am so eating more, exercising WAY more...I know that will slow me down.  Now just short of 2 months out (surgery 12/15) I can tell my body is adjusting (and at 50 yrs) it takes more time.  I platued at 40 lbs lost and hovered there for almost 3 weeks.  Give yourself time and as the above post stated...everyone is so different don't measure yourself by us.  You know your body -take care and stay stong.

Ditto to what everyone else said.  At 800 calories, you WILL LOSE.  Just hang in there and keep following the rules, and you will be fine.
