Kashi cereal
It is normal not to have problems- I am almost 5 years out and I have not have any complications.
I have never thrown up and don't really know much about "dumping". I do know that the ONLY time
I was really, really sick, on the toilet and thought I was going to die....was when I had a 1/2 cup of cereal with milk.......... at about one year out.
I have never had milk since. I ocassionally eat oatmeal made with milk and I do eat Kashi Go-Lean cereal with yogurt.
My clinic limits carbs so cereal wasn't on the list. I think we got Wheat Thins at 4-6 months.
I caution you to not try cereal without talking to your clinic's nutrionist or looking at your approved food list.
It is best to go slow. I have never had pop, sugar & alcohol was 1+ year out. I think that right after surgery you miss the foods you loved (the ones that made you fat) You go through a mouring period which is going to last for awhile. Once your body gets use to the limited food you will stop dreaming of the stuff you shouldn't be eating yet. Good luck!!
