Hi all! Had a great time at coffee on Saturday! rjsams - you blew me away you skinny minnie! Wow! Well done! Kelly has very funny personal notes to everyone under the coffee thread, check them out! So happy to have finally met her!
High weight 270
Last week 115.5
This week 115
Total lost 155lbs
I have added in a bit more food to help slow my weight loss down and it seems to be working. I know at some point I'll complain when it starts to go up too high and I'll complain about having to drop my intake again! Ah, it's always something, right?!

I'm so happy for you all that have lost weight. I must admit though I am getting very discouraged. I haven't lost anything for a full month. I think I'm doing everything right. Maybe a little too much carbs but I certainly don't blow it. I still eat mostly protein. Drink my water. Even exercise some. It's so hard to not compare. Please don't get on me for doing that. I guess I just need a little encouragement. I'm a baby today. Sorry.
Hey Julie:
I really do understand, too. I didn't lose anything the whole month of November, it felt like, and that was so frustrating. I tried hard to focus on the good things--how far I've come, how much easier it is to move, etc.
Look at you--you've lost over 50 lbs! Picture carrying around a 50 lb bag of dog food all day every day, and then being able to drop it. You've done great!
Hang in there, you are going to keep losing. This is for life and health, after all! Even once we all reach goal, we have to fight the daily battle to keep it off. (Not to be depressing, but it's reality.) We'll all still be here with you. :-)

Julie,
I know how you feel. I'm only down .4 pounds for the last 3 weeks, and it's tough seeing everyone else go down multiple pounds every week. Just remember to keep doing everything you're doing now, and not worry about. I was in a plateau for 2.5 months before my surgery, then I lost 12 pounds in a month. Now I'm plateauing again :(
Have you tried taking your measurements? Sometimes seeing half an inch off my waist is enough to keep me motivated.
At times I get really down, and what I try to remember is.....no matter how little weight I've lost recently, I'm still down from where I was, and so much healthier for it. Try to think of all the little things you've accomplished so far, like going down in clothes, or in my case spending last Saturday at Nickelodeon Universe with my son and being able to go on every single ride with room to spare. It's the little things that you've accomplished that can keep you going! You have to try and stop yourself from thinking about what you haven't done.
Feel free to send me a message if you want to talk, I mean it when I say I know exactly how you feel.
Nicole

Renae and Nicole,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. Everything you say is true and I appreciated you saying it. I will try hard to look at what I've accomplished and not at what I haven't. After all 54 lbs is pretty good in 6 months. If I didn't have the surgery I probably would be up more than 54 by now. I'll just keep trying.
