Had my 3 month post-op check up today. I am down 48 lbs. lost 10" in the waist & 5.5" in the hips so far. I went in discouraged as I felt I should have done better in the weight loss department. But after the nurse wieghed & measured me & with her words of encouragement, she says I am actually doing above average in weight loss. My BMI/weight/bone size was not as high as most that have the RNY, there for I wont lose as much as many in the beginning. Was told to keep up the good work, started on my B12 shot today & sent off with a smile.
Highest Weight: 233
Last Week: 188.2
This Week: 185.2
Lost 3 weeks since last week
A special thank u to my sister Lisa for all her help & encouraging words, love u sis!
And a special thank u to all my OH friends here for the help & encouragement

Great job!  It is nice to get that reassurance from the doctor's office, isn't it?

I had my 6 month checkup today, and although I got scolded a little for deficien****er and protein intake, I am otherwise doing great, so I was happy.  I do hate that the dr's scale weighs me about 3 lbs more than my home scale does.  Oh well...

how funny about the scale, as mine at home weighs me 3 pounds MORE than what the doctors said. So I hear ya there about scale issues.
Nice job on ur weightloss also!  keep up the good work & get tha****er in & protein. Yes, I got the protein lecture also, as im experiencing hair loss & very brittle nails. As for the protein shakes, all I can say is YUCKKKKKKKKKKKK. LOL

Congratulations on your successes (and I mean lots of successes!) Isn't it amazing for all of the work we do, we want even more, and sometimes are DISCOURAGED over success! Well you just keep on the trail, you are doing great, give yourself an "atta-girl."

Thank u all, means lots to me to hear ur words of encouragment here. I am truly my own worst enemy when it comes to being hard on myself at times. This appointment proved me otherwise and im very happy for that. I read daily how successful u all are with this tool we share and am so happy for everyone here. Congrats to u all!

As stated before CONGRATS and keep up the good work!  Remember, protein first and 'I wants' are second.  Being of the same stubborn nature, I know where you are at.  More will come with time so be patient.  Hair loss is scary and take it from the sister with lots to start with, I've lost half my mass and it is very scary!!!  Keep up the good work and DO NOT get discouraged as everyone starts with a different body, so there is no room for comparison. Be as proud of yourself and I am of you! Love - L
