I am very proud of both of my sisters who have also started the WLS Journey!  It's sometimes hard to get too involved, but I am very proud of them.  Being within the first year of my WLS it's difficult and I have to be careful giving advise because I am so far ahead of them and don't want to lead them astray from the early requirements.  Sometimes having self-esteem issues, I do not want them to think they are "behind" or cannot meet a goal based on my success; not that they won't surpass me, but that they continue TO BE PROUD OF THEMSELVES FOR EACH AND EVERY POUND THEY LOSE! They need to know success comes in many different numbers.  I know I have stepped back, but hope they continue to call for advise and to share their goals. GOOD LUCK GIRLS and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!  Love you!

In life there seems to be a fine line between helping and meddling. I think your support and encouragement is the right tact.

It's so true that our best leaders lead by example.  Them seeing YOUR success, inspired them.  I hear people saying so often that this person is doing it this way, or that way, and it's not MY way.  Well... tough luck.  They get to run their lives like I do mine.  If they ask me, however, I'll tell them!

My sister's insurance (one of the few) doesn't cover the surgery and my heart aches for her.  How I would LOVE to see her get the surgery.  She's wanted it way longer than I did.  Best of luck to the two of them - and continued success to you!

Lisa,
Thank u so much, not only for all the help/advice U have given me, but for being my sister also. This is a long hard journey with many let downs in the process, but as I went shopping the other day, I finally got to see my hard work is paying off when I bought my jeans (SZ 11, yeah!!) .
I know its hard for u to give advice & understand why. I try not to be too much a pest about my questions to u or even on here. But thank u for your support & advice. Its much appreciated.
Love you Sis;!
