Food Addictions
Does anyone have any suggestions on support for food addictions? I have had my band for over a year and have lost 50lbs and just gained some back thru sabatoge and addiction to food. I need some support if you have any! I am seeing a therapist but just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this?
Thanks, Kim

There are support groups out there for people with food addictions. I would recommend you call the Emily Program and they can refer you to a group near you. They are wonderful and can help.

My best advice is just to keep reaching out for support. Food addiction is what landed me in Dr. I's office 3 years ago. The surgery did not cure or take away that addiction. I struggle daily, as do many others on this board.

I don't have food addictions, but I self sabotage.....
I find the more people I talk too, the more I realize I'm not alone....It's like everyone does great for the 1st year and then after that, it's a slope downwards......
I realized that I was grazing more and more...I got comfortable with where I was, and quit working out like I used too....Put that all together and BAM a 20 pound weight gain......So I recently started to exercise again, everyday for at least 30 minutes.....
In my opinion, It all comes down to willpower and mindfull eating, exercise, and getting in at least 60oz. of water, and of course support from family and friends.....
I did start a support group on facebook, if your interested, friend me and I can add you.....Support is so important....
Good luck to you, I hope you can find some help or whatever you need...
