My insurance papers are filed

I'm soooo happy to have jumped trough all the hoops and I now know a lot more about the "tool".

I feel that the last 6 months has given me time to prepare myself for the rest of my life and truly set the expectation I need to move forward.

I have BCBS - The paperwork was sent last Tuesday.
When can I expect a decision?
Should I call my insurance?

Congratulations!! I had BCBS and I was approved in 1 1/2 weeks... I would expect you should have an answer by the end of the week. The waiting is by far the hardest part, but it will be so wonderful, and worth the wait, when you hear the good news! Good luck and I'm sure we'll see you on the loser's bench soon! 

Whoohoo.....I had BCBS, it only took less than 2 weeks......Good luck...

 I switched from Health Partners to BCBS during the December 2009 open season, making Jan 1,2010 my first date as a BCBS member. I had an answer by Jan t5th and surgery 1 month to the day later. I had all of my hoops for HP done by Dec 31, but I was right on the wire with my psychologist.
  Might as well start applying habits for your new life and lose a few pounds before surgery!! Help your surgeon help you.
