Health Partners and Approval

Hi all,
I have completed the calls and the info has been sent into HP for approval. I was wondering how long it took you to get approval from HP and if you were denied. I was concerned because the last call they were asking me how much have i been doing some things over the past 6 months and I answered that most changes have only taken place in the last couple of months. I am so worried this will get in my way. Any advice?

 The two things needed is the  coursebook, and the psychologist assessment. It should go pretty quickly after they are completed.

My info was sent in on a Wed and it took 12 days. Seemed like forever. No worrys....The Questions they asked you on the last phone call were the same questions that they asked you on the first initial call. Healthpartners requirements are that your BMI is over 40 for 2 years and you do the Phone Calls. If you have them 2 things you should have no problem. I was Approved by the way. Just settle down (Hard to do). you will be fine. What Clinic you going through and Surgeon? I go to Park Nicollet and I have Dr Svendsen and my Surgery is Dec 21...Merry Christmas to me

Oops Sorry I forgot a few things. You do have to complete a psych and understand and commit to a lifelong change, and a Dietician. Forgot to mention them things because Park Nicollet already requires you to do them..Pretty Simple things to do. I think there easier than most insurance companys

Mine was sent in on 11/12/10...I really hope it is soon. I have to get in by the end of the year due to insurance changes next year. I have Dr. Jones at park Nicollet!

Heck caealthPartners and check the status. You can do that. You should hear soon. I was hoping to have Jones also but my paperwork said Svendsen for Approval and thats who I have now. It doesnt relaly matter to me who I have. Hope you do get in before the end of year. I have mine on Dec 21 and Svendsen I was told was Booked up till then. They are busy. Good Luck

I should of proofread my Post it looks like. LOL. I meant to put....You can call Healthpartners and check the status....

HP said they'd get back to me in 10 business days and it took them 8. I went through the phone sessions and the other appointments they required. I know in my phone sessions I showed I wasn't a completely "model" WLSer by any means, but I was showing improvement. So take that with a grain of salt.

I have/had HP and heard back and was approved the first time they submitted... took less than 10 days... they called me before the clinic did to tell me.

In the same boat now, as I'm looking to get a panni, and my PS should be submitting everything about my doc visits, rashes, photos, etc. by the end of this week... hoping I get lucky the first time around!!!
