Just got off the phone with HealthPartners, and they told me that my DS is APPROVED! Woot! So my date with Dr. Buchwald on 12/14 is ON! Happy Dance time!

He is an awesome Doctor. I know a few people who have had surgeries with him. I am having a VSG with his cohort -  Dr. Ikramuddin....

Wow a DS?  Are they approving those now?  HOW AWESOME for you!

Yeah, HP covers most of the surgeries (RNY, DS, VSG, Band), provided you jump through the hoops.
