Anyone Have a Personal Trainer Recommendation ?

I had RNY 7 weeks ago tomorrow, and was cleared to get back to the gym at 6 weeks.  I really am starting to think that I'd like to work with a personal trainer for a bit to help jump start me back into a workout routine.  Because our needs are so specific, I am wondering if any of you fellow Minnesotans have any recommendations on good personal trainers.

I am a member of Lifetime Fitness, my preferred gym being the Plymouth location.  I would like a trainer who would be able to meet me there.  I know they have personal trainers AT Lifetime, but I just feel I might be able to find a good one who is not employed by Lifetime for a more affordable price.  I have done some looking online, but anyone can make a site saying they are a personal trainer.  And a lot have nutrition as part of their training "package."  Since I have my dietitians at my WLS Clinic, and have such specific nutritional needs being an RNY patient, I just want a trainer who focuses on cardio and strength training.  Not to mention, it would be nice to work with someone who is familiar with working with us WLS folks.  I know some people in the fitness world are opposed to surgery, so I don't want anyone who is going to critique my decision.

Anyway, any help would be great!  Or even an idea of a reputable place to look!  Thanks!

I don't have any PTs to recommend - my last one was in Chicago - but just a warning to make sure your gym allows outside trainers. Some don't and will only allow you to use the ones affiliated with them.

Good luck! I loved having a trainer - he definitely made me do things I NEVER would have done on my own in a gym.

Thanks!  I know people at my gym who have outside personal trainers, but I will have to double check and make sure that the policy actually allows it, and that its not just "they haven't been caught."
