Wow - I can't believe it!

So last Thursday my nurse called and said that she would send my completed file to Dr Jeff that same day. Today, I get a call and Medica has already approved it......what?!?!? I can not believe that it only took a total of three business days? That is amazing! Anyhow, I meet with Dr Jeff on Monday and will probably have my surgery the week of Thanksgiving. I can't believe how fast this has gone - I kind of freaked out today and had a lot of anxiety. I am doing better now, but I can't believe my life is going to completely change in a few weeks!

I can relate to that.  I had Medica as well and it went just that quick.  Amazing isn't it?  I just wish everyone was able to enjoy such benefits.  So many people struggle for extended amounts of time to get what we have in just 3 days.

Congratulations!

It is sad when some have to wait for so long, I do wish everyone could get approved so quickly.

I spent two years considering the surgery and a total of 8 months getting to the surgery after my initial call. I am thankful for that time and the struggle because it allowed me time to get my head wrapped around the challenges I faced.
Take this time to get you mind programmed to wanting health and success over all of the things that crop up. It is the only way to become successful long term. Vow to become a winner on the losers bench.

 1. Follow your doctor's instructions
 2. NEVER eat anything you don't want to become re-addicted to
 3. Join a support group and participate.
 4. Always think that your goal is more important than the morsel in front of you calling your name.
 5. Believe this is only a tool and not a magic cure.

Happy Thanksgiving, I wish you well.

Congrats!!  I had my surgery the day before Thanksgiving 5 years ago, and it was kind of nice being in the hosptial on Thanksgiving day, and not having to even think about the feasts others were eating.

Good luck to you - enjoy the ride!!
