I am looking for advice on good books that may be out there regarding WLS.  I saw one called "WLS for Dummies" or something like that. I am basically looking for a book to read about dealing with issues post-op.  Thank you!

I went over to Amazon and used the drop down menu and chose "books". Then, I did a search for "Weight Loss Surgery" and quite a few books popped up. I tried half.com but did not come up with much that was current. I was not very sucessful at the library either. Amazon seems to be the way to go.

I was just going to do that. :)  I thought I will check here first to see if anyone had replied and then head over to Amazon.

I have been wondering about you - how are you doing since your surgery??

This past Thursday Janet called me and said she had everything she needs and was going to send my paperwork over to Dr Jeff and he would put a letter together and send it to my insurance company. I have my teaching class on November 9th, so I am hoping I hear from Dr Jeff before the end of November saying I've been approved!

I hope you are doing well!

I really like "Exodus from Obesity", it's one that I have gone back to regularly.  Also, there is one called "Fat No More" that is one woman's diary of her WLS journey, interspersed with more technical info.  That one's more chatty.  I got them both from Amazon.

I ended up ordering "Fat No More" and "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies".  Both got good reviews on Amazon, so hopefully they will be good ones.
