Alright.  Had one last small piece of a med pizza - yes I did!  Hurt like heck, so I threw away the crust.  Yaya baby!  Then I had half of a yogurt - put the rest to freeze in the freezer for a bit o' snackin lata!

OK, then I pulled over the trash can -

Out went the:
rest of the pizza (I love cold pizza)
the old veggies all pruned
the fajita wraps
the leftover mashed potatoes

I am kickin' it now and wanted to be caught sayin' it to you all - so kick my butt if I mention craving bread again!  Oya!!!  EEsh!

Doin' my overhaulin'... what did the Saturday Coffee meeting do for you?

PIZZA????? PIZZA???

What they have a new flavor....Chili Pizza?

Hmmm I might have to try that variation of Chili.

What the coffee group did for me was to challenge me to make good choices and to embrace the new WLS lifestyle, which is different from my old lifestyle.

Saturday coffee is very important to me. There are successes and failures within WLS. Every Saturdays, I see people connected together, sharing experiences and helping each other. All of you "seasoned" RNYers help me so much! I come home every Saturday, having met a new person, received a new tip, and made a new commitment.

You all have my life in your hands, and I trust you enough to steer me right. I mean, where else can I tell a table full of people my start weight and not think twice about it?

What did Saturday do for me? Got me rejuvenated.

Thanks to you all,

~MM

What did Saturday Coffee do for me? It gave me another cheering section-literally! When I walked out the door, you folks were actually cheering for me as I prepare for surgery on Thursday. Dear Robin even gave me hug and I had just met her! You all made me feel so great, energized and ready- even though I was freaking starving!
I felt a kinship with you folks and am motivated by your successes.  Thank you everyone for welcoming me so warmly and being my cheerleaders!

Saturday coffee is my recharging station!  You all are my batteries--LOL.  It really helps me to talk to other people who are going through (or have been through) the same thing I am and who have lived through it successfully!

I really don't know how other people do this journey without a group like you all!  You should all pat yourselves on the back and give yourselves a (non-food!) reward today.

Well, I didn't make it this week.  I'm kind of a every- other- weeker -goer.  I guess i love to sleep on Saturdays.  Anyway, the coffees are very important to me also.  Meeting new friends and talking to people that genuinely understand what I am going through.  Seeing the results and hearing the stories of ones that have been  "Through it all." Learning some tips on what I should and shouldn't eat. Getting a pat on the back is nice too.

I never leave there without wishing I could go every Saturday.  I learn something every time I go and it makes me remember things I may have convienently forgotten!  It fuels my devotion and reminds me why I started this journey and that I'm not alone.
