South of the River Psychologist?

Hey there!

My name is Jen.  I'm slowly working my way through my 6 months of nutritionalist visits (4 months done).  I'm looking for a suggestion for a psychologist that is used to dealing with the mental issues that help cause obesity.

I'm not depressed or anything :)   But my dietician thought I might like to talk try a psychologist to help me deal with why my will power sucks and why I always want to eat everything in sight late at night!  *laugh*

She suggested a Janice Maidman, but unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover her.  The insurance sent me a huge long list of psychologists that are covered, but it doesn't say what they specialize in and I can't seem to find out anything online about them.

Has anyone seen someone they recommend?

 I went to a Psychologist in Apple Valley to meet my insurance requirements, but I have since met a Psychologist through a support group that I think is a real good choice. She has 20+ years specifically dealing with bariatric surgery patients. She offers both single counselling and has a group setting meeting (which is much lower in cost.) She has seminar in cross addictions and other WLS challenges.

    She is in St Paul near Snelling and University.
