Question for those who are at or below goal

Did your weight loss stop when you kind of wanted it to?  My 1st goal was 150 (started at 270 and am just under 5'2")  I am down to 127 and am getting a lot of comments from people who I think assume I've joined the other side of food issues.  I even feel like there are folks that think I'm NOT eating.  I talked to the Dr's office and they said "you are at a normal BMI 23 and we don't ever get concerned unless you reach a BMI that is too low)  I'd be fine at this weight.  I do eat, 4 times a day and stay pretty faithful to the program.  I am not actively trying to loss weight, only to maintain.  Yet I am still losing.

I have heard that some folk**** a low and then level out at a higher weight of 10 or so lbs.  I went to Italy and had carbs and I even tasted some desserts (I mainly avoid sugar period, it's my heroin) I gained 1.5 lbs but lost in it 2 days, but we walked miles a day.

So, for those of you with experience, how did it go for you?  I'd really not like to lose anymore, my wrinkles are getting wrinkles!  I'm still laughing at Darla's scrotum thighs, I have them and just didn't have a name for them.  It's perfect. Now if I could just not have to tuck my boobs into my socks!

Thanks for the imput.  All in all I'm a happy camper, this has truely been a gift for which I am thankful for.  I really want to try to get to coffee this Saturday, I really miss you all.

I am seven months out and my weight has not changed in 5 weeks and I am in the "overweight" BMI catagory. So there is no worry for me about slipping into super low BMI's without a real fight.

Thanks Roxanne - I need to start doing more weights, I'm active, but need some muscle.  Your input helped a lot, I'll try more protein on top of the meals.

Paul - I hit a period when I thought I wouldn't make goal, I got stuck and then it got going again and here I am!  Keep doing all the right things and you'll get there!  It really is a process huh?

I weighed in at 125 this morning.  I'm going to add in some more food and protein and I will start doing some weights starting today, I need more muscle for sure.

Tess,
We started off at almost the same weight/height. My lowest I got down to was 120.
My surgeons goal was 150, I didn't agree as that would of left me in the over weight category. We worked to hard to still be over weight. My ideal goal was 125. I got yelled at a couple of times that I could NOT go below 120, I think he night of said something about a feeding tube, funny how I blocked it out.

I then had a bit of regain that I was NOT happy about. I put on 9 pounds. No matter what I did it stayed with me. I felt frumpy and bloated. Found out a week or so ago my gall bladder was to be evicted. Funny how that extra weight is almost gone now. I have 4 to 5 pounds left to rid myself of.

As far as wrinkles, I might be the only one on this boat, that I could give a rip. My clothes hide all those evils LOL

Enjoy life!

 Hi Kelly!

We must be twins separated at birth!  LOL!

My girlfriends keep teasing me that I'm cheating and losing weight by removing one organ at a time! LOL!  I've lost both ovaries, my uterus, part of my stomach and then my gallbladder.  So I guess they are right.

My arms are what I am the most aware of, the extra skin is really noticable.  It's hard to find t-shirts with 3/4 sleeves I found out.  Who knew?  The rest I can dress around.

I appreciate your response, it helps to know what someone else's experience is.  Sometimes you can feel like "is it just me'?  I'm glad to hear that you are feeling healthy and happy.  Keep on keepin on....
