Dreaming of noodles

Hi all.  I can't tell you how helpful it has been to read the wealth of info. on this forum - it has been a huge help preparing for the last week.  I had my sleeve surgery last Thursday with Dr. Leslie at Abbott - everything went really well.  The first day was rough, I felt nausea all through Friday, but never did throw-up.  However, incision pain was minimal, and walking was a huge help.  Now I'm home, and following my liquid diet as instructed for this week.  However, I'm dreaming about food  - has this ever happened to anyone out there?  Freaks me out a bit - pasta has always been my downfall, but I can't say I have ever dreamed of noodles before.  Also - pizza - which is something I could typically take it or leave it.  Just kind of funny - I'm not usually much of a dreamer, but these are so vivid!  Crazy.

HI Kammy!

Nice to meet you. I just had my surgery as well, but have to admit, I am not dreaming of food, especially noodles. But then, I do not recall my dreams very well, so I am not a reliable source.

I have met a great bunch of people who meet on Saturdays at 8:30 am. Next week in Burnsville at Panera at the mall, and then the alternate week at Caribou in the Eagan Byerly's. Please come join us. Not all of us experience the same things, and so the camaraderie and support that I find at these coffee meetings has been invaluable. It seems as though somebody there has been through what I am experiencing!

I hope to meet you next week.

Hello Kammy...your post made me giggle. Others have posted this same thing...dreams of various foods.
Hopefully those NIGHTMARES will end soon!!

Pasta is one of the hardest things for me to do without. I haven't had any in over 3 years...I know better then to even go there!! As for pizza....I sometimes eat one piece with the crust and another just the toppings. Bread doesn't set well with me so I mostly just have the toppings instead.

Good luck....hang in there.

Hugs...connie d

I had this happen when I was low carb for an extended period of time. I would dream about a certain kind of food - and that was what I was really craving. Do not worry....for most VSG'ers - the ghrehlin goes away around 5 weeks....and you just don't feel hungry anymore, nor do you crave!!
In no time, you will be on normal foods.

I would say you are probably just having normal cravings....or else you are just thinking about foods that you KNOW you can't have right now??
