Duluth coffee October 30th

Planning a wls coffee group for Duluth area on October 30th, saturday.  I have been travelling to the WSP coffee group over the last few months and the group is planning a road trip to Duluth.  So far spending overnight at a motel Friday night, location to be determined at this point.  Coffee Saturday 10/30.  Anyone want to join us?  Great ideas for a spot for coffee?  Let's see how many we can get together.  Car pool with a friend or two.  Let's come up with some great plans.

"Sarah's Table" a very nice bookish/green business, excellent coffee and food, deck by a busy street, nice booths and tables part way up the hill or closer to the lake in Canal Park "Amazing Grace" with both outdoor and indoor seating, hip, young place with inexpensive decor but good stuff.  Those would be recommendations one and two!  Next, downtown Starbucks, very popular, nice atmosphere, then Dunn Bros. on London road in a fake but realistic log cabin type of building.

Great ideas Anne, I am not a coffee drinker and defer locations to someone who knows the area.  I go for the kinship with other wls folks.  Not sure how many from the twin cities metro area are making the venture north, could be quite a group.  I would love a place with a view, then walking along the boardwalk after.  I live farther north in Virginia.  Maybe we could make this a routine thing for the Duluth area folks too, I would come again and again.

Not sure what the weather will be like on the weekend of the 30th.  Should plan for indoor seating.  Pick on of your choices, add the street address for those of us out of town and I will get the message to the WSP group.  Plan to meet at 8:30 am or so?

Ohhh ohhh I would love to come but am committed to a carnival at our church until at least 1pm that day.  If it's in the afternoon I could be there....actually I WILL be there.   I miss having the coffee get togethers.  My husband also has had the lap band (rny for me) and could use some support as well I'm sure.  

The locations listed were great ideas....Dunn Bros is my fav lol but depending on how many come it might get crowded there.

Well everyone, the location is finalized.  Starbucks across the street from the mall area.   1405 Miller Trunk Hwy, Duluth, MN.   Hope to see as many OH members as can make it.  Let's meet at 8:45 or so on October 30th. 

Weather permitting, I am game for taking a walk along the lade after coffee.  Anyone care to join us?  See you coffee on 10/30/10.

Sorry not to get back to you sooner.  Interesting choice!  Close to shopping (not close to the lake) and certainly straightforward to find I think.
I won't be able to come in the morning either Saturday.  Just wanted to say I hope you have some company.  In the future afternoons are better for me.  I hope it isn't freezing cold down by the lake!!  love Duluth.
