DAY 1 of 5DPT....its goin...
Well, today started off great. Way easier than I thought. Kept myself busy, got outside (and away from the fridge for awhile). Then 3:00 hit and I really wanted something crunchy, carby...just not something liquid. But I overcame it. But here's my full DAY ONE MENU:
Breakfast:
1 SF CIB w/ 1 cup 2% milk
Coffee w/ 1/2 cup Skim Milk
24oz. water w/ crystal light
Lunch:
1 can Cream of Broccoli made w/ 1/2 can skim milk
Protein shake
24oz. water w/crystal light
Snack/Afternoon:
1 SF CIB w/ instant coffee w/1/2 cup skim milk
1 protein shake
1 SF Chocolate Pudding
Dinner:
1 can Cream of Asparagus soup made w/ 1/2 can skim milk
24oz. water w/crystal light
I'm hopeful for tomorrow and anxious for some real food on Monday!

I'm starting it on Sunday. Liquids Sunday and Monday, soft protein solids Tuesday, soft meats on Wednesday and denser meats on Thursday. Not looking forward to the limitations, but for the renewal of comittment - I'm excited! I've heard very good things and for me, it's back to basics!

Good luck Mary. You CAN do this!!! I will admit there are times during the day when it is difficult not to fall back into the carb monsters trap. BUT that is how we got to this point, that is why we have to do this in the first place. Don't let the carbs win over our success and happiness this tool provides us.
Day 2 is going ok. I'm a bit moody due to the lack of carbs/sugars and a bit of a headache today. Hoping a bit of caffeine will help...physical hunger although is almost minimal so that's cool. Mental is soooo much harder.
Going to make hard-boiled eggs tonight and make deviled eggs, as well as some tuna salad for work day tomorrow. Probably tuna/salmon patties (recipe from website) for dinner.
