Anyone want to do 5-day pouch test with me??

I am thinking I need to de-carb my life and I like the general basics of the 5-day pouch test. Essential you do liquids for a couple days while slowly introducing real proteins back into your diet and elminating the craving for slider foods, bad carbs, sugars, etc.

I hope to lose my bloated feeling and even a few pounds in the process...but overall get back on track with my eating with a quick easy detox.

Sure would like to do it with someone and have the support I don't really have for this at home...

WTH, I'll do it with you......I have the 5DPT book.....It has recipes, etc....

We can make a 5DPT post everyday if you want or email each other....PM me what you want to do.....I can email you the recipes if you don't have the book, etc......

When do you want to start? Tomorrow?

Hi... I haven't posted on here much lately but am a regular "stalker" of the message board.
When I saw your post, I had to reply... I tried the 5-day pouch test a couple months ago and was only motivated to stick with it for 3 days in spite of the fact that in those 3 days I lost 8 pounds... I know it was probably jus****er weight but hey, 8 pounds is 8 pounds, right?... I felt good too when I was on it, I don't know why I didn't stick with it... I like your idea of doing it with someone. Perhaps with the added support it will make it easier... If interested, you can either PM me or I will watch for your postings on the message board... Michelle, how about you?? Are you going to join Kelly and I and do this either tomorrow or Saturday??

Really...I am contemplating and I guess I will make up my mind tomorrow morning if I am up to the challenge of liquids for 2-days.

Otherwise, Saturday for sure it is!!

WoW! I am so excited to see some "takers" on this. My husband is "supportive" but not in the sense he would do it with me or anything.

Kelly I will PM you as I do have a few questions/comments/cocerns/FEARS!!! about when to start this. Very glad you have the 5 DPT book that will really help. I visit the website for motivation but I'm a HUGE planner so I want to be fully prepared for these 5-days...and of course afterwards.

I would like to do it!  Is this safe to do when you're working out really hard?

I guess that's my only question :)

You nay want to take it easy on the workouts, or drink more protein shakes....Listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs....:)

I would imagine the first couple days would be really tough to work out hard and do a liquid only diet...since we probably wouldn't be getting in enough "real proteins". But I've never done it before...
I'm worried about doing it and working a desk job. LOL

I'm thinking I will start this weekend...get the hardest part done while at home (not at work around temptations and the need to be mentally "with it ")

And more time to plan having good foods nearby for the days after...

Eeek, kinda nervous. Why is it we can do this to HAVE surgery but after its just so painful to think about?!?

At my 2 year appt. I did mention to them that I go on this every so often, they didn't have a problem with it as long as it's not all the time....

Make sure you look up http://www.5daypouchtest.com, so you know what you can have, etc.....It's been awhile since I've been on it so will need to look at me book......At the top right on this site you will see recipes for each day, I love the Parmesan fish......

Yesterday I already started half way, with drinkng a protein shake for dinner.....Today I'm having a protein shake for lunch and dinner.......So I think I will start my 5DPT tomorrow.....I will only be 1 day ahead of you, no biggie.....
