I can't wait............
I can't wait..........
to bend over to tie my shoe laces without running out of breath.
to enjoy Halloween because I can find a costume that fits.
to be able to fit in a rollercoaster.
to not having to buy clothes online to find the "big" size.
to not be so tired all the time. to run around and really play with my kids.
to go golfing and actually be able to do a full swing.
to go downhill skiing like I used to. to enjoy going to social events knowing I look ok.
to be able to play softball and run all the bases.
to enjoy water sports with my family.
to go for long walks and camping in nature.
to be able to sit on a floor and play with my kids without having to lay down.
to be able to go to the doctor without hearing about my blood pressure or my weight being a problem.
to stop being scared of dying from obesity and all that is related to it.
to take control and enjoy all of my blessings in my life.
........I can't wait. Just a few more months.
What are some of the things you post-op have found that you now enjoy that you could not do before?
If you are pre-op what are some of the things you look forward to?

Awesome post - keep this list somewhere visible so you can keep an eye on it as you work towards your surgery and your post WLS success!
Some of the things I've enjoyed ~
* horseback riding - even being set up with a horse that is NOT the biggest beast in the group!
* weaving through groups in restaurants or bars and NOT feeling self-conscious!
* Being cold when, in the past, I would have been SWEATING!
* riding on airplanes without needing a seatbelt extender!
* passing groups of younger people hanging at a mall or gas station, and realizing that none of them laughed at me or made any smartass comments about my size.
* Going on a hike and putting quite a few miles behind me before realizing I had done so - without breaking a sweat, even!
* Family gatherings for holidays and such - feeling PROUD and HAPPY to know they are seeing a much thinner, healthier ME, even if no one actually says anything - 'cuz I saw 'em looking
* Taking all my rings to the jeweler to have them taken down two full sizes!
* walking - because my thighs no longer start fires! Someday, I may even buy me a pair of corduroys!
The list could go on and on. The 'WOW' moments - even 3.5 years out, there are STILL wow moments! Just make up your mind to do what you are told you need to do, and you'll start racking them up for yourself before you realize it!

WOW moment s are fun!!
Being given a pair of pants 10 in less in size than my old pants and find they too are too big for me
Having my original belt going from notch #2 to now go past my spine.
To talk with my neighbor of 25 years and find out he wasn't sure who I was...
To go to a store and not be recognised by a person I gave extensive driving lessons to.
For the first time in my life to be lighter than my smarter more active and more handsome brother.
I am just a worker bee around the house. I pretty much just go ALL day long. I no longer get under a car and take a nap because I just don't want to get out and up to get the tool I really needed....
However, I suggest you start your exercise routine now INCLUDING weigh lift training as I lost a noticable amount of muscle mass on my journey down.

It's true. My life really changed because I became unemployed (but more like retired) at the same time as my surgery. So I was able to concentrate on my health. As it ended up, this has been one of the most satisfying six months of my life.
Certainly having the energy has been a key element in this.
