A year ago...

I had my surgery one year ago yesterday.  Everything leading up to it was scary and new and different, but I was ready for a change.  And now... one year later - my life is better and I'm on my way to great health.  I can do more things, wear different clothes, move easier AND I got me a whole new JOB - big promotion. 

My sweetheart, who I married 11 years ago, also had the surgery 6 months after me.  So... we do this together and that's been great. 

I have loved the support from this forum and our coffee group, as well as that of my family and friends.  BEST decision I've ever made. 

I'm not done - I will post pictures when I get a chance.   I still have a way to go to hit my surgeon's goal, BUT I've lost over 120 lbs. and love it!!!

Thank you for being a great group of supportive folks and all the best to the new ones who are in store for a wild ride!

It doesn't seem possible it's been a year already, does it??  But I remember you at Swapkins last fall, fresh out and collecting new clothes to shrink into - I bet you've shrunk out of all of them!

Congratulations on making the most of this year - keep on working your tool, it'll get you where you want to be!

Thanks, Darla - you've always been supportive... and a lot of FUN!!!   Thanks for all your nice comments and for leading the way.   I have shrunk a lot... not out of all of them, but lots of 'em!

Congrats.....Life after WLS is great, were healthy and can have a life again....Can't wait to see the pictures.....Awesome job, and to do it with your hubby is even better....
