Lots of answers today
Today was a good day, I finally got some answers!
To start my day off, I had a scope at 7:30 this morning. The large ulcer from April has completely healed up, that was great news. On the other hand, we discovered the reason that I've had so much trouble with pain, eating and drinking is that there are two small erosions in my jejunum. So.... a few more weeks of Carafate and cross your fingers that I can get these healed before they both turn into ulcers.
I then came home and called Medica because I still hadn't received my response to my Level 2 appeal last Tuesday regarding my PPI med - which by the way the Gastroenterologist told me to stay on to heal the two erosions. I finally got through to someone at Appeals, and my appeal was a success. Medica will now cover my Prevacid Solutabs YEAH!!! I should be able to pick up my prescription tomorrow.
So although there will be a slow recovery from the erosions, everything looks promising. I will finally get my medicine that I need and I should finally be able to heal.
I just had to share my great day! It's a nice change from venting my frustration!

YAY, good news on the medicine being covered, I know you were worried about that.....AWESOME.....
