Health Partners Phone Sessions???
Hello, just wondering if anyone has information on the 10 week phone sessions? Are they just nutrition & excercise questions/info? I also did not know it took 10 weeks...I was hoping to have the surgery still this year but I guess that probably will not happen, oh well. Just wondering how long til surgery if all goes well with the phone sessions and Health & Behavior Assessment????? I am so ready for this now!!
I did it also. They have even done follow up call post surgery AND even after I changed providers. It has been helpful to me and really didn't detract from the process other than it was 10 weeks to help get your mind in line with what was going to happen to your physical body.
Trust me, the surgery was the easy part, changing your habits is the larger challenge. These phone sessions can be helpful in that regard.

I too am doing the Phone sessions right now. I find them very helpful. Only thing is yes it takes 10 weeks (Technically 12). 1st call does not count and calls are every 2 weeks. You have to do the 5 calls no choice. You just really go by the book. Read the chapters they ask you too and it will be fine. I am waiting on call #4 next week. Yes I want the surgery like yesterday and was very upset that I can only do the calls every other week. But thats what HP wants. It is going fast so before you know it you will be done with them. Gets you ready for the rest of your life and yes I think Surgery will be the easier part of it all....You can do it
Tina how did you get started with the HP phone sessions? When I attended my info session a few weeks ago I thought the clinic said they would work with HP to get me started with them. But, it's been a few weeks now and I haven't hear from HP...
I also am interested in the sleeve but have heard HP doesn't yet cover it. Maybe this isn't still the case?

ccbelle, I wonder if you need to contact your insurance yourself. I'm in contact with my insurance and Dr. Ik's office. Even if the doctor's office says they'll contact the insurance company and the insurance company says they'll contact the doctor. I want to be sure no one drops the ball. If I keep things moving I know what's getting done so I don't sit around for weeks wondering what's going on. I'm doing the 6 month NUT visit thing so I won't be having surgery until late January or February some time. I can't wait.
