Does anyone meet in the Northern part of the state???

Hello...I am north of you in Grantsburg, WI and use 35 all the time!!  I have gone to Maple Grove in the beginning of my process and sorta in the middle started going to the St. Paul/West St Paul one.  I received and still receive excellent advice/encouragement from both groups and don't get to go to coffee groups every week but try to go as often as I can.  There is a support group that meets at the hospital in Wyoming once a month.  Sorry I don't know what day they meet.  It is important to find a group though because there are times that that is what helps you the most!!  Hopefully we will meet at one along the way!!  Donna

Thanks for the information!  The Hospital in Wyoming is only like 10 min. from my house, that would be awesome!  Does someone at the hospital set it up?  I could just call the hospital and check.  Yes, hope to meet you at a meeting!  Take care & good luck with everything!

I do not attend any support groups or anything yet. I'll look more into it when I'm cooped up in the apartment after surgery :) I'm getting a DS because I want the malapsorbtion part of the surgery to help me out too,

We did have a small coffee group that met in Osceola and we have gone up to North Branch to meet some people up there.  The group was very small and it sorta fell by the wayside.

I know that there is a support group in Amery, WI and one that used to be at the Wyoming hospital (I don't know if it still exists.

If you are up for a road trip, I know of two groups 'up north'.  The first group meets in Virginia on the third monday of the month on the second floor of SMDC clinic at 6 pm.  The other group meets at St. Mary's hospital in Duluth on the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm.

I do make the road trip to the twin cities to the WSP coffee when I can.  Wish I could make it each week, but life dictates otherwise.  maybe we will run into each other at one of the coffee groups.
