Wednesday morning horror
I woke up this morning to horrific pain, in my right side. Then it was accompanied by nausea and what my body thought was vomiting, but nothing there to vomit!!!
So, off to Woodwinds we went, they treated me very well I might add! After finally getting morphine enough to subdue the pain, they did CT scan - not appendix, not gallbladder - right kidney enlarged and fluid - and deposits in urine - KIDNEY STONE! OMG - please shoot me! The pain for that was FAR WORSE than when I gave birth to my children.
Sent me home with antibiotic, they think there is infection to boot, along with anti nausea meds and Percoset for the pain. Thankfully I am feeling better now, but please, enough with the kidney stones.
OK, I am done - had to get it out. Going to watch some TV and relax now.

I've had a kidney stone before and it's the worst pain I've ever had...thought I was gonna die! I've never had kids, but I've heard a kidney stone is worse, too. It took two nurses four tries to get an IV started, then an IV Team nurse came in and got it on the first try. They got the morphine going and I looked at my sister and said "Is it supposed to work that fast?"
Even all the surgeries I've had since then haven't hurt that much!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
OMG horrible! I had my gallbladder out after attacks but I hear that kidney stones are even worse. So sorry to hear that you were in such pain! Hopefully things will be better from now on.
