A new WOW at 3 & 1/2 years out

My sweet little 84 year old mom is a rabid

fan. Pays for the cable channels she needs to be sure she doesn't miss any games, and schedules her life around them. Last Easter, she sat at my computer with me and we ordered her a ridiculously over-priced Twins jacket, even tho she has only been able to get to one game at Target Field - and THAT was in June.

So anyway, I had been invited to go to yesterday's game with some friends, and she (mom) was so excited for me, she asked if I wanted to wear her jacket! Yeah, right, mom. She's 5'3" and about 135-140. A shrimp. I'm 5'11" and NOT a shrimp - still haven't seen "onederland". Her jacket is a Medium - still had the tags on it since she hasn't had an occasion to wear it.

I took her out Saturday to run some errands, and she INSISTED that I try it on.

Okay, whatever, she's old, I'll humor her.

IT FIT ME!

I nearly ran out of oxygen for the length of time it took me to remember to breathe - I FIT IN A SIZE MEDIUM JACKET!!!

Yup, life after WLS is GOOD!!!

I did, we were in section 104. It WAS a disappointing game, but fun nonetheless!

I'm giving mom my wind-up Denard, as well as the souvenier cup that came with hot cocoa

I got a souvenier hot cocoa cup, too. We were in section 141, so not far from you.

We were hassling the hot chocolate guy so much, we made him blush!! Your mom will love the wind-up Denard, too!

That's awesome Darla! Congrats!!!

It was great meeting you and the others at coffee Saturday morning. I'm already looking forward to the next one and am going to try to adjust my work schedule so I can make them.
