6 month check up

Saw my bariatric doctor today.......  drum roll please........


Measurements

Waist     47           NOW   35

Hips       55           NOW   46

Neck    16          NOW    14

These were the only ones we did today. 

She said my labs were super great, besides the Vitamin D being low, put me on high dose for 3 months and then regular dose from then on.  Cholesterol - Good    Protein - super   Sugar levels all good too!  No more blood pressure meds either!  She said I glowed now - and she loves the smile!!

Told her thanks for giving me a new lease on life, and she said I only have ME to blame for it!!  Love her so much.

Here's to a good day - a good month - a good year!  Here's to the choice I made - no regrets here.  Still holding at 95 lbs lost, but that too will change, the inches are moving off again!!

Thanks to all who support me - to all who have been there along this wild journey.  To those of you who don't support me or think I took the easy way out - PISS OFF!  HA, I don't have time for them, told my Psych doc today that I now realize the reasons I was hiding, and I have finally faced them.  This past year has been an enlightening time and I am so glad the secrecy is gone.  For those of you who don't know me, it is a long story, but to put it short and sweet, I was molested by my father from age 13 until I was finally able to escape. I married my husband for all the wrong reasons, but I did get 3 wonderful daughters from it. I no longer let my father, nor my ex-husband run my life, they stole enough from me.  From here on out, it is about ME and what I want.  I am living for me!  I love my life, I love my Dave who is a big reason I was able to face my fears as well, he is my support beam, and he is so proud of me!  I love my daughters beyond belief, they are my heart and soul!!!  but most importantly ----  I LOVE ME!!!!  finally.

It is pretty amazing of how much our lives can change for the better in this time frame, and it isn't just the weight, it is the new attitudes and improved lifestyle.

Wow, Kelly!    I got goose bumps reading your post. . . .couldn't be prouder of you if you were my very own!     

You've lost more in 6 months than I have in 14 and I know you'll get to where you want to be.   Make sure you shop at Savers or some other place so you get lots of bang for your buck and don't feel too bad when your purchases get too big to wear!
