What's Recovery Like?

It's way too early to even be thinking about this because I'm still jumping thru insurance hoops and haven't even been officially approved. But I talked to my niece last night and she's planning a Christmas visit with me. I MIGHT be having surgery the last half of Dec. or early Jan. So, if all goes well with surgery and I don't have complications, would I be up to having company say, 2 weeks out?

And, as far as recovery goes, I'm single. Do I need to find someone to be with me those first few days? I'm one of those who shudder at the thought of asking for help. I know, character flaw....

I was more than ready for company 2 weeks out...heck I was chomping at the bit to get back to my "regular" life because I was tired of not being able to lift and such but it was good for me to be forced to slow it down a bit.

I know what you mean about asking for help.
You can probably get away without help, but if at all possible I think it would be a smart and a safe move to have someone around at least the first couple of days.
If you decide to stay alone at least have some phone numbers of people you can call for help, ready . Just in case.
