Smoothies and mental health
My family now think I am nuts. Well they have had enough time to confirm it, so I figure it gives them hope for an exciting future, anyway back to the subject: Smoothies
I was making a smoothie this morning. I added 2 Chicago "sport peppers" to a mix of soy milk, peaches and vanilla protein powder. I added a dash of coconut flavored sugar free syrup.
I think this is the best smoothie I have ever had. I would take it over an ice cream dessert because it was sooo good and good for me too I justed loved the pepper kick after the sweet front flavor. Certainly no negative pouch issues with texture.
Oh and I just added some buffalo wing sauce to my SF strawberry jelly.MMM good.
Maybe the family is right.

Okay, Paul, I haven't met you, but I think you're JUST THE RIGHT KIND OF NUTS! LOL!!!
I have found that I now ENJOY hot, spicy, burn-your-face-and-clear-your-sinuses kinds of foods! Pepperjack cheese is about the only kind worth eating, jalapeno ANYTHING makes me smile, and wasabi has become a favorite! Pre-WLS, I was a typical midwestern, Lutheran kinda bland where ketchup was about as racy as my palate got.
YAY YOU for trying new, daring combinations!!! I've heard that chocolate with cayenne is an awesome flavor, although I have yet to try that - FUN FUN FUN!!!
