You deserve this! You are doing this not only for your health right now, but also for the future. I'm in the same boat as you, I have no medical problems "right now" and I have two little kids that depends on me. I need to help myself to be there for them so that I can be the best Dad possible.

I'm sure you have dreams of what it will be like in a perfect scenario, but nothing is perfect. Life is a battle, but the meaning of life is to live it, not wait for it to happen.

I'm sorry I have no words of wisdom for you because I'm in the EXACT SAME boat!!! My surgery is 2 weeks and 2 days.... I am a single mom like you with 5 kids and I have the same feeling you have so I'm trying to read what everyone posts to you in hopes I can get some moral support too
