I had a WOW moment while out thrift store shopping yesterday.  I was able to buy size LARGE shirts & they FIT!!!    I never would've actually bought these shirts had it not been for a fellow WLS surgery friend of mine that was shopping there at the same time as me & she looked over at me & noticed that I was shopping for shirts in the plus size section & she says to me "Melissa, your too small for those clothes!"  Isn't it funny how your mind really doesn't catch up with your body sometimes?!?!  I really thought I still needed to buy clothes that were XXL since that's what I have been buying for so long.  But, I went with her suggestion & bought some clothes that were size Large & I'm so glad I did since I got them home & they all fit!!

So, I big thanks goes out to my guardian clothes angel LA Foster, cuz' if it wasn't for you I'd be walking around in clothes that were 2-3 sizes too big & completely unflattering.  You rock!!!

How awesome, Melissa!  It's a great feeling to find out you can fit in the smaller sizes.

Were you at Unique yesterday?  I was--what a zoo!

I had a WOW moment doing that, too.  I found a pair of pants that fit me that are three sizes smaller than when I started!!  And I tried on a pair of jeans two sizes smaller that I didn't buy because they were too big already!!  I also got some shirts in XL, rather than having to go to the 2XLs.  That means I can get shirts in the regular department, rather than plus.  Pretty exciting.

Yeah I was Unique too (started at Savers at 7am & then went over to Unique afterwards).  Unique is always crazy-busy; I can't believe how many people crowded into that place.  You should check out Savers sometime; they open earlier & it's crowded at all!!

Congrats on getting smaller sizes too!!  You're doing fabulous; hope to see you at coffee this coming Saturday!

Yeah, it's crazy how you don't think you'd ever fit into those sizes so you don't even think to look at them.  That was what I've been doing all this time...I've just been sticking to the plus sizes since that's all I've known & that's all I've figured I'd fit into.  I mean I've slowly been venturing out, but not much & I haven't been shopping in quite awhile (just been getting by with clothes from others that have had surgery before me & stuff).  It was a nice surprise to see that I could really stop shopping in the plus size sections now...I think I've known that for quite a while know, but now that I got all these clothes & none of them were plus size just solidifies for me that I'm no longer plus size...now I just need to really wrap my head around it & get it to stick.

It's funny how ours brains are the last to know!  My sister did the same thing with me!  I just couldn't wrap my mind around it!

What a great WOW moment, thanks for sharing, it made me smile.
