DS surgery - Dr. Ikramuddin

Has anyone here went through the DS surgery with Dr. I?  I am exploring the possibilities and wanted to hear anyone elses experiences with him and any other challenges or successes you wish to share.

 I'm going thru the 6 month insurance drill. Dr. Ik is my surgeon. I feel very confident in his skill. If you Google him you'll find he's very well respected and is a world-wide leader in the field of WLS. If you haven't yet met him, you'll find him to be very approachable and his entire staff is knowledgeable, helpful and easy to deal with.

 Hey there!  Yes...Dr. I is very good and so is Dr. Buchwald, his associate.  I found him to be very down to earth and knows his stuff! Most of his staff are professional but I have had some minor issues with some.

I had the DS nearly two years ago with Dr. Buchwald (same facility as Dr. Ikrammudin).

Dr. I's requirements are slightly different than Dr. B's, but I can more than likely answer any questions you might have.

I had my DS with Dr. I about 10 1/2 months ago and could not be happier.  I had mine done at the U of M and was also happy with everything there.  My weight loss over the past year has been pretty awesome.  If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.
