Anyone get MNCare to cover the VSG??

 I am just getting ready to set the date for a VSG. I HAD straight MA, and am getting switched to an HMO. The only ones I have to choose from are: Medica, UCare, and Blue Plus. 

Has anyone had experience getting the VSG covered through one of these?? Thanks. 

MA MNCare right? I recently just got that. Thought it was straight MNCare and come to find out its MA also. Anyway, a few factors you have to look at. Is it MNCare? If it is I do not know if they pay for sleeve but Healthpartners I picked and its awesome. I like it and they do pay for RNY. Do you have Kids? If you have MNCare Plus you should be covered. Just look up all the different Insurances they give you to pick from and do your Research if they do cover it and what their Qualifications are. You do have to find out Specifically what Insurance you are

I am on Mncare and chose Medica...I even had a revision because my band broke and went for the RNY and Medica ok'd it very quickly. I only had to pay 900.00 because they only pay 10,000 per year for an over nite hospital stay. I was quite happy with this since I paid cash when I had my band put it...that eventually came open and broke. :(
