Just thought I would share......
I was going to look up a quote and decided to just write what comes from the heart.....
You realize who you are and what you have become by the things you do.
Yesterday was a bad day for me, some people in my life are having difficulties with the "NEW" me....I finally hired a personal trainer and am taking better care of myself and going to support groups, friend gatherings, and putting myself 1st for once, and it isn't going over to well.....
I realized I've grown in the past year, I didn't binge eat, I didn't drink......What I did do is pray and talk to many friends......I did eat more than normal, but I kept it healthy....Thank you to all who FB'd me and called me....You all mean so much.....Hopefully with time and patience those closest to us will see and understand our journeys better.....

AMEN to that!
You have done a wonderful job, keep up the good work!
You are an inspiration to me - I am only just 5 months out and I watch what you and some of the others that are farther out than me, and you just keep me going. Keep me motivated and give me the realization that my goals are attainable and that the bumps we face are manageable as well!
Thank you!
Kelly

Kelly,
Thank you for the kind words,,,,,
Your goals are attainable......
I'm 2 1/2 years out and for the past year, put my exercise and eating to the side and concentrated on family and my marriage.....So kind of lost who I was becoming.....Now that I'm putting myself 1st and trying to lose more and get toned and some muscle I kindof stirred the pot in my family.....But I need to do this for me, I want to be successful and not another bad statisic of WLS......
I think after yesterday's tailspin of events, I got that across to my hubby.....My trainer knows what I want and how I want to look, I sent him photos (of Jillian's arms from biggest loser)....That's my goal, my dream, to have her arms or at least 1/2 of what she has.....And I want to get back to my lowest weight of 139 pounds......These are my goals, my dreams and I told hubby, How can you not let me try.....He got my point......
Sorry, I rambled......But we are all important......Not just Mom's, wives, sisters, etc.......
Keep exercising that is key in this whole journey......Kelly

Kelly, I won't promise to know your whole story or journey, but from the little I know, I think you do have an amazing & supportive husband. I'm sure he will come around if you give him the chance to absorb it.
Sometimes, we may find that after we lose the weight that's been holding us back from so many things in so many areas of our lives, that we tend to forget not everyone is as driven as we may be. That can include spouses and even children. And, I'm not sure if this is your case or not, but I know we can sometimes expect them to keep up with us and yet it's not about that.
I also think that sometimes our goals and endeavors may put a strain in a certain area of life. For example, if you are paying for a personal trainer, that can be expensive. In today's economic times, many people are cutting back and perhaps your hubby was expressing some concern without specifically saying it. I have NO clue what your finances are nor do I want to know, but I just know from my own personal experience that sometimes, that can be a source of strain in a marriage.
Overall, keep your goals in front of you and never apologize for working towards them, especially when they are healthy and positive goals. You & your DH will manage, you've certainly been through worse.

Amy,
Yes, my hubby is amazing and pretty supportive.....But I have put myself on the back burner for over a year now trying to fix what I almost lost....Now that I did that, it's time for me to work on me again......I have to be happy with myself now in order to be happy in life, as a wife, Mother, etc.....So since I put myself last this past year people got used to that, so now that I'm putting myself 1st, there are issues.....And yes we will work through them, but it's tough.....

We both like to do stuff, That thank God this is not an issue....Whew....
As for the personal trainer, I gave up Caribou for the most part, saved money that would have been spent on that, so the trainer was paid with no problems....Now I just need to keep saving, so I can keep having him come out once a month, or I may join his gym......That isn't really an issue either.....
I definitley will keep my goals in front of me.....I finally realize, I'm worth it.....For so long I didn't feel deserving of anything......That is in the past.....
Thanks for your thoughts.....Kelly
