Valley Fair....Aug 6th....who is coming?
I've been known to go to Valley Fair by myself, so you can't possibly rain on my parade if you can't come. But for those who want to ride the steel with me, (or just spend the day watching others ride it)...get your duckies in a row cuz the day is fast approaching.
In the past we have started the day at Caribou in Eden Prairie at the Southwest Station, then carpool to save parking fees. I can take up to 5 riders with me, BUT....I have no air conditioning in my van AND I have to leave the park by around 6 to head back to EP to set up a movie (which you are more than welcome to attend...it'snot quite the IMAX but it can be fun in a whole different way. This year's movie is UP. In the past people have hit a restaurant in EP while they wait for the movie to start. This year there is a ZOOmobile before the movie so you can come out and see a few critters while you get your cooler set up.
If no one want to ride with me I'll probably just drive my car (which can take at least one other person).
That's pretty much it. Coffee, Valley Fair, Dinner, Movie, then for anyone with still more energy to burn, we could go out to a local joint after the movie.
I can get VF tickets for 26 bucks at my credit union. If anyone wants a ticket for that price, let me know. Bring your crystal light flavor packs to valley fair....add them to the free ice water any vendor will give you. It's a great deal. Food prices at ValleyFair are a bit out of control nowadays. I may pack a lunch and bring a cooler.'
If you have questions about rides....PLEASE ASK. I've been up and down the river on being able to fit on rides. I can (or others can) answer any questions. We are here to gently help each other. Valley Fair is a major milestone in my weight loss adventure. There is meaning for me beyond just having fun. I love spending the day with others who are on the same journey.
