I really screwed up this time.............I think I really hurt my tummy...........  I have been eating like a pig for the longest time now and it has caught up with me.........
Saturday my sister-in-law , 2 kids , and myself  went to Mankato to shop and we went to Pizza Ranch, and I ate 1 piece if thin pepperoni and the toppings off of other pizzas................  Then on the way home I ate corn nuts, and for supper I ate a brat Yes I ate the whole damn thing took 30 min but I ate it all and oh my gosh did I feel like **** a little while later.....

Then sunday I still didn't feel good.  My hubby and his brother and boys went out shooting, my sister-inlaw and her daughter were here with me...... My sister in law went to take a shower and i was here with my 3 year old niece.......  and   POOF...............

I got so sick I got so hot and sweaty, I couldn't breath, dizzy, I felt like I was on fire..........this has happened before maybe a total of 4 times since surgery and I wish I would die uring it........ It lasts for a few minutes and i need to sip on ice cold water to get the pain to calm down my niece was so scared she ran back to the bathroom and yelled mommy mommy Marsha's sick  she was so scared and I felt so bad........

I almost get to the point maybe we should call the Ambulance but then it goes away............... well this time it went away but I still feel yucky and hurt...........

I called my surgeons office and they think I got something stuck........ I have not eaten reg food since saturday night,  Sunday night I finally tried some SF choc pudding,  Sunday I ate some more of it got the foamies, and last night some cream of celery soup,,,,,,,,,, I have never felt this yucky this  long after an episode............  I from here on out am following my plan doing what I am told and no more cheating.............

Please for all you NEWBIES, or fairly new DO NOT CHEAT...........DO what your told and if your not to eat it DON"T................

I am still scared I hurt something pretty bad in there my Dr. said if not better in a few days I will need to go in.  Stupid move there slick HUH....................  I love my food but it is time to let go...............

Wish me luck to have what it takes to overcome this battle.................Even at 2 1/2 years out you can still get very sick.......................  Yay my tool is still here for me..................

Hugs,

Marsha

Marsha,  I'm sorry you've been feeling so uncomfortable.  I haven't experienced it to the extreme you described, but I've certainly put some junk in my tank over the years, so I know the kinds of pain/sick a body can feel.

However, unless you didn't share EVERYTHING you ate (which would be MY speed), I don't think the food you described was unreasonable.  A whole brat?  NO PROBLEM.  Heck, I can even eat one and a half without the bun.  A slice of pizza and topping off a few others?  again, NO PROBLEM.   Corn nuts?  Haven't tried them, but I wouldn't think they'd cause any trouble unless you didn't chew the daylights out of 'em.

So I don't know what to tell you - other than you really should get checked if you're still feeling crummy.  Have you been checked for gallstones?  I believe too much fat in the diet can cause them (but, I'm no doctor...).  Pizza and a brat on the same day might have been a bit more fat than your pouch was ready for.

It IS a good thing that our tools still work.  I think the danger here lies in always assuming that any abdominal issues we have are directly related to our WLS.  There are plenty of other things that could be making you sick, so while it's wise to consult your WLS doc/nurses, don't automatically blame your food choices.

Hope you're feeling better soon, sweet thang...

Hugs Marsha.......This is an everyday battle for most, your not alone....

I have my good days and then some really bad days....Just like the other day we went to go see a movie, I had Gummie bears, milk duds and popcorn, and since I was watching the movie I didn't pay attention to how much I was eating.....Sure enough I had ate 3/4 of the box of milk duds, on the way home I was soooo sick with gas.....Never knew candy could give you gas......

Good luck Hon......And maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to have them do a sonogram or something to see if everything is okay in there and to see if your pouch is still the right size......Because if it has streched then that would show why you can eat more too.....

Hang in there......I'm always here if you need to talk.....Kelly

Oh Marsha Honey, I am soooo sorry!  That sounds awful!  Please promise me that if you aren't better in a few days you'll go in and just check and see if you have something amiss!   You are smart to go slow and ease back into it.

I agree, the food you ate doesn't seem extreme, I suppose it depends on how close together you ate them I guess.

Please let us know how you are doing ok?  Big hugs!

Marsha....don't let this goon .....it may really be stuck and won't dislodge....go in soon!!

Have you tried drinking a little Coke....they say that will dislodge most everything.

Yes....we all eat stupid at times...too many times in fact....when will we learn!! You are no where near alone in this. I can't say I have ever had it that bad but it does happen.

Please update us and let us know how you are doing.

I am slow at getting on the computer lately.
I hope by now- almost a week later that you are feeling better!
I have "bad food" days here and there. Some days it is what I choose to eat, maybe things not on the good list. Other days are the "oh, food is just not sitting well" days.
I still to this day tend to use my comfort foods to get past bad food days. My comfort food is soup, Love my soups and they just make my world a much better place.
I sometimes think I have a cast iron gut, it doesn't flinch at some of the items I consume, dammit anyways LOL

Here's to your feeling better
