200 pounds down...A little update...a couple pics
JN ~ you look fantastic, and it has definitely been fun watching your progress to date, especially when the group sees it and you don't. It is so mind baffling, I know!!! But it is fun for the rest of us to watch you melt.
I'm proud of you for getting some new pics taken, most importantly for you to believe what is happening because you will have your days when you need to look at the pictures to get a real glimpse of how far you've come on the journey.
Keep living the DS good life my friend and have a wonderful time on your vacation! I cannot wait to hear what your family says!!!

Thanks Amy.
Yes it is very mind boggling, being this is the first time I have really been able to tell any difference. The mirror in my eyes showed the same me. I guess I probably shouldn't be as afraid of the camera anymore. I would also like to thank you guys for welcoming me into the group, even though we haven't gotten together in awhile, because I do not have many people around me.
My two brothers have seen me, one was pretty surprised at how I was doing and the other never really said anything. He still doesn't really understand why I would put myself through surgery. The person I most want to see is my sister in law. She flew here to be with me for my surgery and I look as sort of a sister to me. Her family also treats me like I am part of theirs. I hope everything goes well for the time I am gone.

Jeff,
Congratulations on your success! It's truly amazing how much life changes post op. It sounds like you're doing things again that you enjoy which is great! I'm sure you'll be at goal in no time! I too can relate to the can't see the changes until you look at pictures. I've started carrying a before picture with me so that if I'm feeling like I'm never going to get there I can pull it out to see how far I've come. Have fun on your road trip!
