Oh Amelia!! As I read what you wrote it made me smile and brings me back to when I did this! It was amazing how comfortable Cyndi and Angela make you feel! An out of body experience nails it on the head!!
I ordered a photo book and 2 mini books. My DH and I joke around about when we are very old and the kids & grandkids are sending us to the nursing home and are going through our stuff. Oh, to be a fly on the wall

Yowza Lorri! You are hot! I am thinking I will do a book and two minis too. Did it really take 12 weeks to get them?
I am still feeling good about myself even now, almost a week later. You know, it was more than just me seeing myself differently. Angela and Cyndi and both skinny and pretty and when I first saw them I thought, Oh NO, I have made a mistake. I will feel so self conscious around these gorgeous women! Then I started talking with them during the 90 minutes they were doing hair and makeup and they were so nice and down to earth and made me feel, well, accepted. Actually, they cracked me up more than anything - they would put me in a pose and then start "putzing" with me, as they called it - tugging corsets, arranging my rear end, making me contort into pretty funny poses. I actually had sore muscles the next day! I finally realized up close that looks really don't tell the story of who people are. They have had their PS, kids with medical problems, marriage squabbles, etc just like everyone else.
One thing that Cyndi told me was that the majority of the people that come in are in their 40's, from size 12-18 and they happen to be the most comfortable in their skin. The ones that are super uncomfortable are the skinny young ones - how weird is that? It just goes to show you that everyone has their challenges and issues and appearances can be so deceiving.
These revelations were what I was talking about when I said it was like therapy. What an eye opening experience!
