Pin Up Photo Shoot
Ok, so I took a page out of Lorri's book and did a photo shoot at Sugar and Spice photography today. OMG, I was so nervous! I colored, shaved, buffed, manicured, plucked, what have you to get ready for this day. Lorri did a boudoir shoot (I think) and I decided to do a pin-up shoot.
They put long (real) hair extensions in, false eyelashes, big smoky eye makeup and bright red lips. Black bra, undies, corset, fish net stockings with garters, super high black heels, the whole works. Then I get a look at myself in the mirror - I thought I was having an out of body experience! I felt like I was looking at someone else. Then I couldn't stop staring!
Then they did a bunch of different shots and 3 hours later I wiped all that makeup off, gave back the hair and put on my shorts and tee shirt - it's like two different dimensions. I was sooo surprised at how comfortable I felt. The ladies made me feel so comfortable and I didn't feel at all silly in front of the camera. Plus, they were getting so excited by the shots that it was hard not to feel gorgeous.
It was spendy, but I am so glad I did it. I am very afraid at how much I am going to want to spend on prints now! I did this as a gift to myself, but also for my hubby and I am going to surprise him with the pictures for our birthday (we have the same b-day, oct 2). I don't know if I can keep this a secret until then!
Just thought I would share - this was almost like therapy for me. Like Lorri, I felt really sexy and good about myself when I left the studio. If anyone is even remotely thinking about doing this, I say go for it - you won't regret it!

How exciting for you... and potentially for your hubby :o)
I'm curious how tasteful the pics are done and what the price range is. I still see the dat me when I look in the mirror, but a few recent photos of me have opened my eyes that I am not that person anymore. Such a journey we sign up for!!!!
CONGRATS on this big step for you! Can't wait to hear how they turn out!
(PS, have kept my eyes open at the Y and haven't spotted you yet :o) Please say hello if you see me!!!)
