Christine,

If your cooking....... I had a 2 burner stove and could cook anything, just kept all food in cooler on ice.....

Breakfast with eggs, bacon, veggies

Lunch & Dinner- Cooked up Ground Turkey for Tacos with fixings
Jerky, Turkey Brats no bun, fish, went online and got recipies to cook over the fire too.....

If you have a little stove you can cook anything.....If not, go buy one...It's so worth it....I also brought protein bars for our hikes....And nuts.....

Kelly covered it, but two additional things I took camping and did well with:

*Tuna (canned) - I personally love Bumblee brand "Sensations" - it's flavored tuna (i.e. sundried tomato) and crackers in a convenient package and does not have to be drained. You can find at Super Target stores.

*Soup, such as Progresso which you do not have to add water to and can easily just heat & eat.

*When the munchie****Sunflower seeds in the shell really helped save me! And dry roasted peanuts, too.

Have fun!

Hi Christine......Kelly has some great ides.

Remember to take along some string cheese and cottage cheese. Also refried beans w/cheese is my all time favorite!!
Tuna is easy and good for you too. I wrap mine in lettuce leaves. Any kind of deli turkey or ham w/ a little cream cheese is another easy thing to make. Take along some hard boiled eggs...easy snack.

Have a great weekend....hugs....connie d

Great ideas!  Thanks girls!  I haven't been camping in five years, it's going to be interesting.

Egg salad or ham salad is one of my favorites.  Maybe toss in some greek yogurt or some protein bars.

Have fun!

Last time we went camping, everyone brought different veggies and meat and made a big stew over the fire pit in a big kettle. It was really good.
