I have my lat dietitian appointment tomorrow.  I have been waiting for ever to finish these appointments.  I am sop nervous on what will happen after wards.  I just can't wait to hear the word APPROVED!  I am really concerned that after all these appointments that they ask you to do, and at the end they find some stupid reason to deny you.

I think I just wanted to vent.

Does anyone know how long it takes usually for an answer after they submit the paperwork?  Do I need to remind them that I have finished my appointments so they can go ahead and submit the papers?

I REALLY PRAY THAT THEY APPROVE ME.  Hopefully next time you hear that word from me.

thanks for listening (reading haha)

Usually a couple of weeks.  I am wishing you the best of luck on your approval!  Ask your clinic if they submitted the paperwork and if so, on what day.

Hi Moonlight,
It's Moongirl, lol! I completely understand your frustration. I couldn't believe the number of appointments I had to go to and hurdles I had to get over to finally get my surgery scheduled. It took me 2 1/2 years! Crazy. The insurance approved mine within 4 days! What insurance do you have? I had BCBS first, they had a lot more criteria to complete than most insurance carriers. I then switched to Medica and from there it was just a matter of getting the psych review approval. I had a lot of depression I needed to deal with before they would approve me. That was my only hold up. Good luck! It will happen, but I so understand the frustration of getting there.

Hey Moongirl,

WOW it took you 2 years??? WHY???? I just came back from my last appointment and they are supposed to submit either today or next week.  I have Medica so maybe it won't take long like yours.
But how did you have the option to switch from BCBS to Medica?  Do you have Insurance thru employer or Individual?  Not sure if it makes a difference.
So did BCBS tell you to go ahead and go thru their prior requirements first and after you did all that, they denied you?  that's terrible!!!
My biggest fear is that they will do that with me

Good luck on your big day!!!  And let me know how it all went.  I can NOT wait to have my day!!
