APPROVED!!!

I just found out my doc has been able to get my insurance company to overturn their denial.  I'm approved for surgery!!  Surgery will be on June 29th.  I can't wait, there is an end in sight to my severe heartburn.  And I'll be thin.  My BMI was 39.6 so I didn't qualify for WLS since I only had one co-morbidity.  I just had to share.

Congrats!  It is not always a good outcome when you try to fight the insurance people, glad yours worked out!

We will make room on the loser's bench for you.   Sip, Walk, Sip will be your lifelong motto from here on out.......lol.

Congrats!!  I know how excited you are!  I was also denied, could not get it overturned and ended up having to switch insurances and was approved on the first try with new insurance!  I hope it helps your heartburn too.  Donna

We meet Saturdays -

one Saturday it is at Caribou in Eagan, then the following Saturday is Panera Bread in Burnsville.  Just keep rotating.  They usually post on here to say when and where.

There is another group in West St. Paul, but I have not made it to those yet.  I don't make every Saturday, but I go when I can.  Such busy times right now.  SUPER GREAT peeps there - they are totally awesome with helping answer questions and for letting you know what to expect and stuff.  I HIGHLY recommend attending, I went post-op and took my pre-op best friend along.

I have Dr. I too! Congrats! I am a long way from being approved though :(  What hospital are you doing your surgery at?

 Great news! I am excited for you to experience life without the burn, that's for sure.

Congrats!  I know approval day is a great feeling.  I too am ahving surgery with Dr I.  I am having mine July 20th, so you will just be about a week behind me!  Good luck!!!

Congrats on the approval.  My surgery is the same day as yours.
