I think it finally sank in to get back on track......I do good then reward myself with a treat HELLO DUMBASS.........  I tried on at least 4 different shirts and pants yesterday that I wore last year and they were to small.......I cried....... I wasn't gonna post this because I don't want to look like a failure, but I think I need to.......  It is so hard  UGGGG   My hubby is still doing good and has lost weight, I am so proud of him......I am gonna do this my goal is to get in my clothes that I wore last year........

By golly this sucks, no more excuses and no more treats for doing good.  I went to the thrift store yesterday and bought a few pairs of shorts and shirts to get me through........I was not to happy with myself............

Thanks for listening to me .............

Hang tough you guys , if you know you are not to have it DON"T try it.......

I found out if it works you can have it and that's a BAD BAD BAD idea........

Just like the other day for me. Are we unable to have sucess for ourselves. I do better when things are a challenge. I certainly have had my share af negative comments, but  I am not that good at handling personal compliments (even though they actually feel good.)
Give me some real positive kudo's like my doctoer did and I figure it must be time for a reward. Next time I will try and make it a non-food reward. My pouch never felt so painful.

Marsha,

HUGS......

Have you called your Bariatric nurse yet? It REALLY did help me to go in and talk, listen, and get that motivation from her again, I wish I would have done it a long time ago.....

You have my contact info, I'm always here for you if you need or want to talk....We can do this.....Just keep reminding yourself why you did this, it wasn't to be a size 4, it was to be healthy....

Good luck, and don't beat yourself up, take it one day at a time, 1 pound at a time.....

Kelly

It's those damned old tapes in our heads!  I did good - I deserve a treat!  Only the treats we usually come up with are EVIL FOOD CHOICES!

Lose a few pounds?  Feel proud and bullet proof?  A DQ BLIZZARD IS NOT THE REWARD YOU SEEK!!!

Make a list of little things you like or want but don't usually allow yourself to have - like a new pair of shoes or earrings or maybe a movie you want to see!  Set a goal for yourself before you "deserve" that reward - say, 'once I lose 10 pounds, I will ....'  or 'if I maintain today's weight for 2 weeks, I can...'  Give you something to shoot for!

WE CAN ALL DO THIS!!!

Marsha.
You have to change the way you look at the weight gain. IT IS ONLY A TEMPORARY SETBACK OK.
We all snack ,so fill your house with healthy snacks and get rid of the bad stuff.
Do a daily walk, do stairs , park as far away from the store you can when you go shopping. All those little thing adds up. Get back to basic, you know what you got to do , but first STOP BEATING YOUR SELF UP. You are doing great, look how far you have come OK.
Best of luck to you, and keep us updated.

Oh Marsha!  Big hugs!  It's hard to get over "food rewards"  I find myself doing it with my kids.  Got a shot at the Dr?  Well, you can have a Happy Meal at Mickey D's.  At least I don't make them clean their plates!

My new reward sometimes is a pedicure or facial for big milestones.  I decided to do something 'nice" instead of delicious!  Ya know?

Don't not post because that is what this is supposed to be about.  I need to see that my struggles are "normal" and I'm not doing it alone.  So you did the right thing.  Let's face it, if this were easy, would any of us be here?  I don't think so!

Keep on keeping on ok?

Love Tess

Marsha,

Don't feel alone I did the same thing yesterday...it's hard when it is 80 degrees and you have no shorts to wear.

I am at the point where I am going all the way back to the beginning and starting over...I am going back to the liquid diet in the hopes that I will be able to re-shrink my stomach and get it used to not eating anything I want any time I want.  I also have learned that I need to re-train the fullness cue between my mind and stomach and the no liquids.

I know that we can do this it just takes admitting that we fell and not being ashamed so that we can get up and keep on the journey.

With hope and encouragement,

NicoleLynn
