Well, the last 2 days I have been going back and forth between the office and another building we were holding an orientation for some seasonal employees.  Yesterday, I was talking to one of the lead workers and he was telling me about how he went to the park with his nephew and how he had a hard time fitting in the child size spaces and then he said "Yeah, man, putting on a 100 lbs since high school has really made a difference, but I doubt you would know anything about that"

Nope, I have NO CLUE what that would be like!

Oh and BTW-He was very healthy looking...I'm guessing in HS he probably weighted 125-150 because he did NOT look like a big guy....just healthy.  But then again, my idea of what's big and what's not could be completely skewed.

Are you kidding me!  I had to restrain myself from crying and kissing and hugging him!  Instead all I said was "Yeah, I can see how that would be hard to adjust to"

I wonder what he would have done......This is awesome......When we start our journeys it's like we can never picture ourselves at a healthy weight, and then BAM, someone says something, and you just stand there with a dumb founded look on your face.....

You could have said "actually, 102 pounds ago, I knew EXACTLY what that's like!"

I know, I probably wouldn't ever say anything like that either, but wouldn't it be GREAT to feel that much confidence??

I don't usually have problems talking about the surgery or anything else about my weight-I'm actually pretty open about it.  I don't know why I didn't say anything to him about it, maybe it's because I was too shocked that he thought I wouldn't have ever had a struggle with my weight!  LOL

Isn't it funny how we picture ourselves in our heads?  I still think I can't squeeze through spaces and realize that I really can!  Good for you!  That must have just about made your head pop from the sheer joy of it!
